Is IPTV the next big thing after search engines and social networking?Well that seems to be the case!

            

                                              IPTV(Internet Protocol TeleVision) is a TV which has Internet connection.In traditional TV we watch what is being shown on particular channel.If we don't like it we simply move on to another channel.But in IPTV there is no particular schedule for broadcasting the programs.User requests for the content whenever he finds time and it is delivered to him.Or the vedio content is stored on STB(Set-Top Box) and user views it later.This is just one thing among plethora of other value added services that IPTV brings.Other services are

Searching Internet for content you want to watch! you can type keywords and search Internet or more direct route you can visit you tube or metacafe and watch videos on your TV.You can watch video available on any website on Internet.

                       Google has teamed up with Intel and Sony to bring IPTV while apple has already launched its version($99 only!).Other IPTV providers include AT&T ,Verizon,Surewest in US,British Telecom,Telecom Italia etc in Europe.
Google may use Intel's atom processor and use Sony's extensive network to sell STBs and TVs.If this happens we can see the google chrome running on android.
